Together We Can Save Water Bodies of Kashmir
The mission of the Kashmir Anglers Club Federation is to protect, preserve, and save Kashmir's depleting water bodies before the damage becomes irreversible.
We work to safeguard the valley's fragile rivers and streams, its shrinking ponds, and the forests that sustain them — recognizing that a healthy watershed depends on a healthy landscape around it. Dal Lake, the crown jewel of Kashmir and a lifeline for the region's ecology, tourism, and livelihoods, remains a central focus of our efforts, alongside the countless other lakes, springs, and aquatic ecosystems that are quietly disappearing under the weight of pollution, encroachment, and neglect.
Our mission extends beyond water alone. We recognize that Kashmir's environment as a whole is degrading — its rivers choked with waste, its ponds vanishing, its forests thinning — and that every part of this ecosystem is connected. Protecting fish and aquatic life means protecting the water they live in; protecting that water means protecting the land, forests, and communities around it.
Through ground-level clean-up drives, awareness campaigns, anti-poaching efforts, and active engagement with the Fisheries Department and state authorities, we are committed to reversing this decline — one water body, one riverbank, one action at a time — so that Kashmir's natural heritage survives for the generations who come after us.
Save Water Bodies, Save Kashmir.
